Living Room Recordings

by Unseen December 05 2018

We are pleased to share the video recordings of the Living Room 2018, an engaging series of talks, discussions and presentations with artists, photography specialists and industry creatives.

Co-curated this year by Futures and Aperture, discussions were bold and varied, addressing everything from new technical methods, social and political narratives, and the influence of intersecting artistic mediums. Furthermore, the Living Room hosted the Unseen Dummy Award Ceremony, Premiere Presentations, and a one-off session with Expert Photobook Review.

Aperture presents Elements of Style
Join leading photographers, writers and editors as they discuss the evolving language of fashion photography and how it can address complex questions of representation, from colonial legacies to queer histories, and other concerns beyond the sartorial. Aperture presents Pictures in Print
How does magazine design help create a meaningful conversation around images? How do art directors and editors create compelling contexts for photography? These questions form the starting point for this discussion on contemporary magazine design and photography. Michael Famighetti (Editor, Aperture Magazine) in conversation with Veronica Ditting (creative director), Paul Gorman (writer) and Salvatore Vitale (Editor, YET Magazine).

Futures presents Shape
